Join a NC Youth Conservation Corps Weekend Crew this fall!

The North Carolina Youth Conservation Corps is recruiting crew members (ages 14-18) who will will work with nine other crew members and two highly-trained leaders to complete high-priority conservation projects on nature preserves in Charlotte this fall. Project work will include trail construction and maintenance, invasive plant removal, and trash cleanup. Click here to apply.

Participants can choose either the weekend of October 19-21 OR October 26-28 (Friday 4:00 pm to Sunday 4:00 pm).

Participants will receive 15 hours of community service and a $100 stipend.

-Supplies and food for two nights of overnight tent camping will be provided.

-Project work will benefit the Mecklenburg County Government Park and Recreation nature preserves at Evergreen Nature Preserve, Sheffield Park, Reedy Creek Nature Preserve, and Reedy Creek Park.

NCYCC Weekend Drop-off and Pick-Up details will be provided upon acceptance to a weekend crew.
