Mission

To establish the quality, by scientific research, of the natural resources within a 20-square mile coastal area, to take steps to protect healthy resources, and to updrade quality of those impacted.

Geographic Area

Twenty square miles between US Highway 176, the Barrier Islands, and the Atlantic Ocean including Figure 8 Island, the tidal marshes and the watershed of three tidal creeks - Futch, Pages and Howe.
