Policy and Advocacy

The Conservation Trust for North Carolina and North Carolina's 24 local and regional land trusts support effective public policies to expand funding and incentives to save the places you love in North Carolina.

The Conservation Trust and the NC Land Trust Council develop and advocate for a slate of policy priorities each year. Each spring, we work with other conservation groups to sponsor and conduct a Land and Water Conservation Lobby Day at the General Assembly.

The Conservation Trust also monitors state agency initiatives and rulemakings that affect conservation, providing input on behalf of the land trust community.
