Reynolds Price to Read at Meadow Society Event
The Conservation Trust for North Carolina is pleased to announce that renowned North Carolina author Reynolds Price will read from one of his writings during our annual Meadow Society gathering. This year’s Meadow Society lunch will be Sunday, May 7 in the beautiful home and gardens of Conservation Trust board member, Joe Rowand, outside Hillsborough.
Reynolds Price, James B. Duke Professor of English at Duke University and a distinguished novelist, poet, dramatist and essayist, is the author of twenty-five books. Among them are The Collected Stories (1993), A Whole New Life (1994), The Promise of Rest (1995), and A Serious Way of Wondering: the Ethics of Jesus Imagined (2003). His work has been translated into sixteen languages.
The Meadow Society lunch is an annual event of the Conservation Trust to honor those donors who are part of the Conservation Trust’s Meadow Society, Blue Ridge Society, and Summit Society. These extraordinary donors ($1,000 or more per year) help the Conservation Trust accomplish its mission of protecting land and water resources in North Carolina. Meadow Society members are personally recognized and listed on the luncheon invitation and other Conservation Trust publications.
If you would like to join the Meadow Society, click below and put Sunday, May 7 on your calendar to have lunch with the Conservation Trust and hear Reynolds Price.
