Statewide Land Protection Programs
The Conservation Trust is partnering with North Carolina’s land trusts to protect more clean water, family farms, wildlife areas, and significant natural areas for North Carolinians. North Carolina land trusts preserve these places at minimal cost to the public thanks to valuable partnerships with state and local government. Partnerships with public agencies boost funding for land conservation and water quality in the state and leverage additional funding sources, such as federal grants and private donations, making conservation more cost effective. Land trusts use resources provided through these partnerships to work with willing landowners seeking ways to protect land and water resources in their communities.
