Sandymush
The landowner of this 135-acre property placed a conservation easement on the property with the Conservation Trust and then gave the property to the Southern Appalachian Highland Conservancy (SAHC) subject to a life estate. The landowner wanted the security of knowing this property was also protected with a conservation agreement.

The property contains scenic views from the top of Pinnacle Knob. Some of the forest is being allowed to develop into an old growth forest. The property also contains a well developed second-growth forest that has not been disturbed for several decades. Rhododendron, hemlock, and impressive boulders surround the high quality stream on the property. The north-facing slope is home to a rich and diverse variety of plant life.
