Blue Ridge Parkway Project
Easement donated to the Conservation Trust by the Miller family in October 2000. The site is entirely wooded and is important not only because of the view from the Blue Ridge Parkway, but also because of the wildlife habitat that it protects so close to Stone Mountain State Park, Doughton Park, and the Thurman Chatham Game Land. The land is characterized by relatively flat ridgetops, steep slopes, crystal clear streams, and coves on the Blue Ridge Escarpment. This property is located directly off the Stone Mountain overlook on the Blue Ridge Parkway and is the connecting piece between the Parkway and Stone Mountain State Park.
